Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026. This Cookie Policy explains how LearnBooster (by Buildasoft Consults) uses cookies, local browser storage, and related technologies to keep you authenticated and support offline studying.
1 What Are Cookies & Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make web applications work efficiently, remember your login session, and provide security protection. In addition to standard HTTP cookies, LearnBooster utilizes modern browser storage technologies including localStorage and IndexedDB to power our resilient offline practice mode.
2 Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary for you to log into your account, access your active exam dashboard, and prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. Without these, the platform cannot function.
Remembers your active examination choice (JAMB, WAEC, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A-Level), quiz filter options, and user interface preferences across browser tabs.
Locally caches downloaded practice tests and stores test attempts while you are offline, automatically syncing them when connectivity returns.
Set temporarily during subscription checkout with Paystack and Flutterwave to verify payment callbacks securely and prevent double billing.
3 Third-Party Cookies
We do not use invasive third-party ad-tracking networks. The only third-party cookies placed during your session originate from our trusted payment processors (Paystack/Flutterwave) during active subscription checkouts to fulfill anti-fraud compliance requirements.
4 How You Can Control Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to modify cookie settings via your browser preferences. Please note that disabling essential session cookies may prevent you from logging into your LearnBooster account or completing practice exams.
To clear local offline question storage, you can visit the Student Dashboard → Offline Practice and click "Clear Cached Tests" or reset your browser's site data.
